Items in the OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG will be gone come May 1st. There's so many items I'm going to miss and today's share includes several of them.

The BORDERING ON ROMANCE stamp set,
TWITTERPATED designer series paper and
the LABELS COLLECTION framelits die.
Other items used can be found in the 2011/12 Idea Book & Catalog: Basic Gray and Whisper White card stock; Stampin' Write Markers and Basic Rhinestone Jewels. The Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon is retired.
I love the simplicity of this card and it can be used for many different occasions.

While there check out all the products on the "Retired List" and on the "Clearance Rack". Wishing you a great Wednesday and until next time, do something good for yourself and stamp daily!

Stampin'Up! AUTUMN DAYS Stamp Set

Last night I had a FALL OCCASIONS class and here is one of the four cards my ladies made.

For the base of the card I used Elegant Eggplant topped with More Mustard and Whisper White card stock. I used the AUTUMN DAYS stamp set. Ink colors used: Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, More Mustard and Garden Green. This card would also make a pretty "thinking of you" card as well.

Thank you for joining me on this fabulous Friday ~ have a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing you back here soon. Take time to stamp something daily!

Stampin'Up! DELICATE DOILIES Stamp Set & FLIRTATIOUS Specialty Designer Series Paper

I'm just now getting around to using the DELICATE DOILIES stamp set and coordinating FLIRTATIOUS Specialty Designer Series Paper. Today's share is the card I came up with. A sentiment could easily be added to the front of the card; however, I think I'm going to use mine as note cards.

I'm hung up on using an uneven number of colors on a card. So to get that third color in, I pulled out the BIRD BUILDER Punch punching out a few leaves using Pear Pizzazz card stock. For you to see what a difference that third color makes, see the "plain card" below.

The FLIRTATIOUS Specialty Paper includes two doily laser-cut double-sided designs ~ 1 sheet Pumpkin Pie and 1 sheet Melon Mambo. The back-side is Whisper White.

The Delicate Doilies stamp set can be found on page 127 and the Flirtatious Specialty Paper on page 183 in the 2011/12 Idea Book & Catalog. For those who wish to order, please go directly to my Stampin'Up! website, shirleybmckay.stampinup.net.

I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope to see you again soon! Have a great day!

Stampin'Up! CROSSES of HOPE Stamp Set

Well as you can see, I've been gone all weekend .... again! I don't know about you but I spent a lot of time reflecting this weekend and remember those we lost on September 11, 2001. It's hard to believe that 10 years later the war continues and we are still having to deal with loss of life as a result of that dreadful day. On my recent trip to the Carolinas, I got to see for the first time the flag quilt my sister, Sue, made to hang in her new stamping shack. What a reminder of the freedom we enjoy for those who enter.

Last night the Care Team at the church I am attending met. Here is a card I designed to send to those members who are in need of encouragement for whatever reason. You may notice I used retired designer series paper, Elegant Soiree. But what better way to use products that I can no longer demonstrate. The stamp set I used is Crosses of Hope ( 120567 - clear / 117136 - wood ). I hope you'll take time for some reflection today. God Bless You and God Bless the USA. Thank you for joining me today!

A Granddaughter Share

Our daughter and son-in-law left Thursday for the Jazz Festival in New Orleans so we've had our 7 year old granddaughter while they've been away. My share with you today is the card Laura made to welcome her Mom and Dad back home.

Of course, the dies are not Stampin'Up! but Laura used SU cardstock, markers, the Big Shot and Decorative Label Punch. I'm so thankful that she enjoys paper crafting as much as I do....she's very creative as you can tell.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend; please stop by next week to get a sneak peek at some of the things I will be offering in my May stamping classes.

Stampin'Up! SPRINGTIME VINTAGE DSP (Part 4 of 4)

Today is my VINTAGE CLASS and here's the last of the four cards in this series that my ladies will be making. Once again I'm using the SPRINGTIME VINTAGE DSP. The base of the card is Very Vanilla, layered with Rose Red card stock and then the DSP. The square out of Rose Red card stock is 3 x 3 and the edges have been punched with the Scallop Border punch. Other items used: Scallop Square punch, Vintage Adornments, Seam Binding (not SU) covering a piece of Kraft card stock. Have a great Sunday with family and friends. I'm looking forward to seeing you back again soon! Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin'Up! FOR YOUR FLOWER Stamp Set

Happy Friday!!!
Today's share is using two of my favorite colors ~ Pear Pizzazz and Concord Crush ~ both "In Color" colors.
The designer series paper is out of the 6x6 In Color Patterns Pack which is double sided.
Instead of using ribbon on this card, I folded back the designer series paper 1" from the top and then used the Scallop Trim Border punch on that edge.
I hope this gives you some inspiration to stamp something today.
Have a great weekend and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Stampin'Up! PUNCH BUNCH - Part 4

Thanks for joining me today for Part 4 of cards made using the PUNCH BUNCH Sale-A-Bration stamp set. For those who have a Sale-A-Bration Catalog, you can find this card on page 5. I did make a couple of changes. I'm to the point in my business that I rarely create but rather CASE (copy and share everything). My thinking is why recreate the wheel with so many ideas out there.
For this card, I used Soft Sable, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock; In Color DSP pack; Ice Cream Parlor button (FREE SAB product); Gel Pen; Linen Thread and Dimensionals. I also used the Big Shot and Go Go Boots Alphabet Sizzlit Die. Just a tip ~ getting the letters relatively straight is easy when you use DSP that has some sort of grid.
The letters are adhered using the XYRON create-a-sticker. My friend and downline, Michelle, got me hooked on this little gadget. It's great for cards and scrapbooking.
I hope you will return to see Part 5 of the PUNCH BUNCH card assortment.
Have a great Monday; take time to stamp something today!

Stampin'Up! Just Believe

Yesterday Sue and I had our monthly camp at Linda K's. As always it was a fun time stamping with Linda and her friends. Here are the two cards Sue designed for the occasion both using the Just Believe stamp set. On the first card, she used Poppy Parade, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz card stock. On the second card, Sue used Concord Crush and Whisper White card stock. Just Believe is one of my favorite sets in the 2010/11 IB&C. I love the stamp included in this set that says "some things have to be believed to be seen".
Hope to see you again tomorrow; thanks for stopping by.

Stampin'Up! Apple Blossoms

Every once in awhile you need "just a little note" card. Another simple but pretty card. Think of all the color variations you could use. "Apple Blossoms" is a Level 2 Hostess Set featured in the 2010/11 Idea Book & Catalog on page 12. Colors used: Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight. So glad you stopped by today!

Stampin'Up! Owl Punch & Elements of Style

Sunday afternoon Linda K. hosted her monthly camp and here are the two cards I came up with for the ladies to make. Linda had a great crowd....11 ladies....what fun!
The first card uses the Element of Style (page 133) and Itty Bitty Bits stamp sets. We also used the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (page 200) and Bitty Buttons (page 186). I used Early Espresso and Rose Red card stock and ink.
On the owl card, we used the following punches: Two Step Owl Extra Large, 1 3/4" Extra Large, 1" Circle Medium and 3/4" Circle Medium (pages 200-203). The alphabet set I used for the "hoot" has been discontinued. I used the Season of Friendship (page 120) and On Your Birthday (page 153) stamp sets. You'll notice the chocolate chip used for the base of the card is topped with the woodgrain designer series paper taken out of the Woodland Walk pack featured on page 173. I also used the Big Shot and Top Note Die.
Thanks for joining me today; hope you'll stop by again tomorrow.

Stampin'Up! Daisy Flower 2 Die

I wanted to share this card with you today as it's one that you can make a bunch of and add the sentiment as you need it. The daisy is made using the Big Shot. I used Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Newsprint designer series paper. I think the pearl in the center just makes the card pop. Hope you enjoyed and look forward to seeing you back again tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend!

Now who wouldn't love getting this card. It's so girly isn't it?

Please check out SU's punches beginning on page 201 of the 2010/11 Idea Book & Catalog. Saturday, August 14, 2010

Good morning....did you miss me yesterday? Well my computer died so I'm borrowing Sue's to post (thank you Sis!). Hopefully by the first of the week I will have my computer issue resolved. Let's hope so!
You've heard me say this time and time again but my favorite Designer Series Paper right now is Greenhouse Gala ~ can you tell? Here's another card using that paper. Think of how many scraps you have around that you could use this layout.
Have a wonderful Saturday; hope you'll stop by again tomorrow.

Be good to yourself; stamp daily!
Sharon R - if you're checking my blog today, please email me. I will retrieve it on my Blackberry. I inadvertently deleted your request from earlier this week and don't have access to your email address. Thanks and have a good weekend!

Stampin'Up! Because I Care

I love the Because I Care stamp set ~ it can be used for birthdays, sympathy, get well or most any occasion really. I used Marina Mist for the base of the card, topped that with Old Olive and then Whisper White. The Old Olive and Whisper White have been run through the Big Shot using the Top Note Die and Oval Scallop Frame respectively. I used the markers to ink the flower and sponged the edges of the oval giving them both a bit of texture.
Have a great weekend and look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Stampin'Up! Flight of the Butterfly & Rhinestone Jewels

Here's another card I cased ~see page 102 of SU's catalog.
I didn't change this card much as you can see. It's not visible in the picture but there is a rhinestone in the center of the flower stamped on the butterfly. The rhinestone and pearl "jewels" are new to SU and can be seen on page 188 of the catalog.

Have a great day; please stop by again tomorrow and be sure to do something good for yourself...stamp daily!

Stampin'Up! Tart & Tangy

The Tart and Tangy set is so appropriate for this time of year. Today I'm sharing with you a card I used for a Stamp A Stack. This color combination would be great for a "get well" card; I can't think of any way better to brighten someone's day.
I look forward to seeing you back again tomorrow; have a great day!
