While at LEADERSHIP 2012, Donna Griffith

unveiled the DIAGONAL SCORING TOOL and made the cutest mini cards and envelopes. Donna then demonstrated a box made using the SALLOPED SQUARE BIGZ CLEAR DIE where the mini cards and envelopes fit perfectly.

Well "I DID IT MY WAY" and designed a little box to fit 3 x 3 cards and envelopes.
Donna and I both used the SPRINKLED EXPRESSIONS Sale-A-Bration stamp set. Other products used: Tiny Tags stamp set; Lucky Limeade, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight card stock and Ink; Whisper White card stock; Twitterpated DSP, Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon; Linen Thread; Glimmer Brads; Bird Builder punch; Big Shot and Floral Fusion Sizzlit Die.
I hope this gives you some inspiration to ink up your stamps. Thanks for joining me and until next time, do something good for yourself and stamp daily!
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

I KNOW, I know...Valentines is over but

my computer is now fixed and I wanted to share with you a couple of things I made for Valentines.
Above is the treat I made for our granddaughter's teachers. I used the Big Shot, Hearts Collection Framelit Die, Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder and Rhinestone Jewels for the Heart. The flower is made using the Big Shot and Fun Flowers Die. The only request Laura had was the treat needed to have something to do with hearts with a Hershey Kiss on top. So the Kiss fit perfectly in the inside of the flower. You'll notice on the bottom right of the picture, I attached a box which was filled with chocolates. It was made using the Big Shot once again and the Box #2 Die which is retired.
And these treats (24 of them) were made for Laura's classmates.
The day before Valentines I had an appointment so I gave these to the receptionist to share with the staff. I couldn't resist putting in the bag a copy of the Occasions Mini Catalog.
And last but not least, here is the card I made for Laura. This card was shown at Leadership and I thought it was so sweet. This picture doesn't do it any justice.
When each heart was lifted up on the right side, I'd stamped a Valentine sentiment.
OK VALENTINES IS OVER. Be sure to visit again tomorrow as I will be showing you a box and matching cards that my Blue Bonnets Group made last week using the Mixed Bunches stamp set. Have a great day and thanks for your patience while my computer was down!
Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. - 1 Thessalonians 5:13-14

Stampin'Up! Valentine Hanging Heart Box

I am sharing with you today a Hanging Heart Box that one of my fellow Sudsol members showed today. For those SU Demonstrators out there that are not members of Sudsol, you need to give it a try. Click on the Sudsol button here on my blog for a two week free trial. It's amazing what some of these ladies create! The Sudsol membership has been money well spent! Now back to the box, this box takes an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock and was cut according to the template she shared. Then I decorated the box using the Filled With Love and Love You Much stamp sets. Other colors used: Rose Red and Whisper White. Be sure before you put the box together that you decorate; otherwise
it will be impossible. For those who know me ~ one that used to change purses to coordinate with my shoes ~ I like for things to match. With that in mind, I cut small strips of Pretty In Pink, Rose Red and Whisper White card stock for the filler. I would not want to make 100 of these but for those very special people in your life, I think they would love it filled with chocolates.
If you would like to make one yourself, email me and I'll give you additional information.
I hope it's where you can take time to stamp something today!

Stampin'Up! Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper

Some time ago SU offered on clearance these metal tins and I'm just now figuring out what to do with them. I ran across a blog that had featured a similar item so here's what I came up with. On the inside I put a pad with pen and on the opposite side a place for you to put receipts. It's a great item to keep in your purse or car.

Stampin'Up! Tart & Tangy

Hope you're enjoying your weekend
and
hoping too that you're enjoying the delicious fresh fruit that's now in season.
I'm bringing to you today a little box I designed that holds 6 3x3 cards and envelopes. I used the Tart & Tangy stamp set (see page 136) with scraps of retired designer series paper. What a great little gift for people with gardens that share their fruits and vegetables with others.
I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow!

Let them do good, that they be rich in good work, ready to give, willing to share.

Stampin'Up! Father's Day Briefcase

What a weekend!

I failed to mention in my post on Saturday that I had a big surprise on Friday.....my husband, who evidently had planned this way in advance, met me in Houston for Laura's dance recital. I had really battled with him a few days before I left on 6/2 that this would be the first time he'd missed one of her recitals and how disappointed Laura would be. I don't know who was more excited, Me or Laura. Here Pops and Laura are doing what they both love to do most ~ watch movies.

Here are several photos of Laura and her best dance friend, Danielle. They are so cute together and did a marvelous job on their dance routines.

Finally, here is the briefcase that I've been talking about to hold the cards shown on previous posts. What a great idea for Father's Day! This briefcase would be great to hold a gift card, tie or candies. The class was purchased from Andrea Walford, also a SU demo. Thanks for stopping by; hope to see you again tomorrow.

Stampin'Up! Box of Note Cards

Here's a gift Laura took to her teacher, Ms. K., yesterday. It's a box that holds 8 notes and envelopes. At this time of year, teachers can't seem to have enough note cards. As you can see I personalized her's using "K" but any kind of sentiment could be used. These notes measure
4 1/4 X 5 1/2. If you'd like measurements for the box, please email me at shirleym@ctc.net.

Today is Laura's first full day of being home; she had early dismissal yesterday. We plan to pack a picnic lunch, go to the park to play and eat; then we're off to the movies.

Recipe:
Card stock: Old Olive, Whisper White and So Saffron
DSP: Tall Tales
Punches: Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1" Circle, Eyelet Border
Ribbon: 1/2" Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
