2012 Stampin'Up! LEADERSHIP SHARES

I received so many VALENTINE swaps at Leadership and I wanted to share them with you so hopefully you won't reinvent the wheel but rather case (copy and share everything) some of these ideas.

The above card was shared by Gwen Mangelson.

Shared by Cathy Connelly

The card above and below are swaps made by my sister, Sue Oehler.

Both cards could be used for birthdays, thinking of you or thank you rather than sympathy.

Don't forget SALE-A-BRATION is in full swing. Go to my SU website, shirleybmckay.stampinup.net, to place your $50 merchandise order and choose a FREE sale-a-bration item.

When you wonder what is coming, tell yourself the best is coming, the very best life and love have to offer, the best God and His universe have to send. Then open your hands to receive it. Claim it, and it is yours.

See the best in your mind. Envision what it will look like, what it will feel like. Focus, until you can see it clearly. Let our whole being, body and soul, enter into and hold onto the image for a moment.

Then, let it go. Come back into today, the present moment. Do not obsess. Do not become fearful. Become excited. Live today fully, expressing gratitude for all you have been, all you are right now, and all you are becoming.

Say "thank you" for all things - and expect good things.

Stampin'Up! THREE LITTLE WORDS Valentine Card

I've got two Valentine camps coming up this week so I've been playing around trying to decide which cards my ladies will be doing. My share today uses the THREE LITTLE WORDS stamp set. In addition to the i love you sentiment, this set also includes so very sorry, i miss you, thanks so much, you-you-you and thinking of you. This set is very versatile and is available only in the wood mount for $13.95.

For the base of the card, I used Basic Black card stock, topped with Whisper White which I ran through the Big Shot using one of the Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates. The hearts are made using Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die featured in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. The Occasions Mini goes live tomorrow and has some awesome new products featured. Be sure to go to my Stampin'Up! website, shirleybmckay.stampinup.net to preview.
Now for a little inspiration other than card making....I decorated my bathroom in my stamping area with frogs. You may have seen the towels, mats, trash can and the other things at Wal-Mart. I was so tickled when I ran across the frog decor because it reminded me of a story that I read a long time ago. A lady (I can't even remember where she was from), always carried with her little ceramic frogs and when she would cross paths with someone going through tough times, she would give them a frog and tell them that no matter what their circumstances, they needed to "fully rely on GOD". Well I've never forgotten that little story so the above picture is what my friend, Christy, and I came up with to hang on the bathroom wall. Now it's not perfect by any means but I do hope my stamping ladies will remember the FROG when they face challenges in their lives.
Another word I love is PUSH...Pray Until Something Happens
Have a great day and until next time, do something good for yourself and stamp daily!

Stampin'Up! Valentine Card for the special man in your life

OK, cut out the frills and let's think about those special men in our lives. Here's a very simple Valentine's card made using SU's "Heart to Heart" punch (see page 203 of the current SU catalog). I used Confetti Cream card stock for the base of the card topped with Crumb Cake. The Crumb Cake card stock is stamped with the retired "Weathered" background stamp using Chocolate Chip ink. I love the "WOOD" you be my Valentine?
Thanks for stopping by today, check back tomorrow for another stamping idea!

Stampin'Up! Valentine Card

It's not too early to begin making your Valentine cards to send to those SPECIAL people in your life. This is a very simple card using Stampin'Up! retired background stamp French Script, the 2 3/8 scallop circle, 1 3/4 circle and two heart punches. I used Crumb Cake card stock and ink, Cherry Cobbler card stock and ribbon and Very Vanilla card stock.
Stampin'Up! products are awesome ~ where else can you find card stock, ink, markers,
ribbon and accessories that match? Gotta LOVE 'em!

VALENTINE CARD

Now this is no fish tale .... this solid chocolate fish is pretty good size! In fact, I'm not so sure but what it needs to be put on a whole sheet of paper.

I found the fish at Dollar General and I just couldn't resist buying it and coming up with an idea for a card for those of you whose husbands are fishermen. How do you like the heart bobber? The guys will probably laugh but hey, it's Valentines!

VALENTINE "POT OF HEARTS"

Isn't this a cute card?

You've seen different versions of the flower pot I know but I thought it would be nice to make "pots of hearts" to send to those on my Valentines list this year.

VALENTINE CARD

I'm late posting today; Sue and I have several events coming up tomorrow that I've been preparing for today.

Today I wanted to show you several samples of cards made using the "Priceless" stamp set. First is the Happy Valentines card using Rose Red, Black and Whisper White cardstock. The punch around the corners is one that's been discontinued unfortunately but I still enjoy using it.

The second card uses Taken By Teal, Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal and Whisper White cardstock. You'll notice it uses the Ornament Punch that was in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I've also used Certainly Celery Ribbon, which is difficult to see due to the lighting in my stamping room.

The last card uses Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock. The ribbon is Old Olive. You'll notice I embellished the heart (Rose Red ink) with one flower from the Trio Flower Punch and a matching brad.

PRICELESS can be found on page 130 of the 2009/10 Idea Book & Catalog.

VALENTINE CARD

Is this card cute or what? The idea was CASED.
However, I made changes to suit my style.
Oops! I forgot to put the red gingham bow in the girl's hair! That makes it even cuter.
This card will be made at several of my upcoming events. I hope it brought a smile to your face today.
