I'm having a Class later this month and this is one of the cards my ladies will be making. It uses the MIXED BUNCH stamp set which was given to those

of us who attended Leadership in San Antonio back in February. It's featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog which ends April 30th. All the cards this month will be made using products/sets from this Catalog.
There is also a coordinating punch that goes with the MIXED BUNCH stamp set. Both the stamp set and BLOSSOM PUNCH can be seen on page 17 of the Occasions Mini. I cut the petals on the flower to give the card some depth. The other punch I used ~ the LACE RIBBON BORDER PUNCH ~ is in the 2011/12 Idea Book & Catalog.
I'm glad you joined me today. Stay tuned later this week for the other cards I have designed for my upcoming class. Have a blessed day!

Stampin'Up! SPRINGTIME VINTAGE DSP & SQUARE LATTICE EMBOSSING FOLDER (Part 3 or 4)

I'm showing today the third card from the four that my ladies will be making in my VINTAGE CLASS tomorrow; again using the SPRINGTIME VINTAGE DSP out of the Occasions Mini Catalog that runs through April 30th. You'll noticed that the piece of DSP was cut using the BIG SHOT and TOP NOTE DIE; the blue behind the DSP was run through the Big Shot using the SQUARE LATTICE Embossing Folder and for the base of the card, I used Very Vanilla cardstock. For the pretty blue flower that embellishes the card, I found instructions on YouTube. Go to YouTube and reference Scallop Circle Flower; the video is by "chris416ward". Other items used: Four Frames and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets AND the Decorative Label Extra-Large Punch.

You couldn't help but cheer someone up by sending them this card; I just love the color combination. Thank you for stopping by and I hope this post has given you inspiration to stamp something today. Have a great weekend!

Stampin'Up! ORNATE BLOSSOM Stamp Set

Today's post uses the ORNATE BLOSSOM Stamp Set shown on page 99 of the 2010/11 Idea Book & Catalog. The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz, layered with Concord Crush that has been run through the BIG SHOT using the Background Texturz Plates, another layer of Pear Pizzazz topped with Whisper White.
I love this color combination and again this card can be used for most any occasion.
There's just 16 days remaining of the SALE-A-BRATION PROMOTION. With a $50 merchandise order, you receive a free stamp set. Go to my Stampin'Up! Website, shirleybmckay.stampinup.net, for more details.

Stampin'Up! JUST BELIEVE Stamp Set, BOTANICAL GAZETTE DSP & FRAMED TULIPS Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

HOW SIMPLE BUT YET HOW PRETTY?
I love the simplicity of this card using the new Framed Tulip Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Botanical Gazette DSP both featured in the Mini Occasions Catalog on page 28 and 26 respectively. I inked up a stamp from the JUST BELIEVE Stamp Set (page 209 of the 2010/11 Idea Book & Catalog) and stamped directly onto the DSP using Old Olive Ink. Then I tied a piece of Old Olive Taffeta 1/8" Ribbon around the card and tied a very simple bow.
I don't know if you have noticed but I use the "thinking of you" sentiment a lot on the front of my cards. Many of you may be wondering why? Well if I need a quick card whether it's birthday, sympathy, get well or thank you, I'm ready to stamp an appropriate sentiment on the inside and get the card in the mail.
I spent this past weekend in Austin with my daughter, son-in-law and his parents AND our only granddaughter. I'm sharing with you today a photo taken of our "one and only" before leaving Lake Travis yesterday.
We had a wonderful time and I can't wait to revisit this beautiful area of TX.
Thanks for stopping by; look forward to seeing you again soon!

Stampin'Up! PUNCH BUNCH - Part 3

GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY SUNDAY!
My third post using the PUNCH BUNCH stamp set features the owl. Isn't he cute? The beauty of this
SET is that you can use SU's punches with each stamp. However, instead of using the
punch today, I just used my markers and colored directly on the stamp to show you that you don't have to have the punch to use the stamp.
I used Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stock; Greenhouse Gala and In-Color Pack designer paper; Two Step Bird Extra Large, Word Window and Modern Label punches; Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set along with the Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze and Pumpkin Pie markers.
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5:28

Stampin'Up! Oval and 3/4" Circle Punches

Today's post I hope brings a little sunshine to your day.
This is another card cased out of a magazine I subscribe to and once again I switched things up to make it my own. I used Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, Daffodil Delight and Bashful Blue card stock and punched three ovals out of each color. Then I used the 3/4" circle punch and punched out four circles from Whisper White. The centers were made using the Buttons #5 Sizzlit die and the Big Shot. Then to top that off I used the Basic Pearl Jewels. This card could be used for a number of occasions. All products used are Stampin'Up!
Have a blessed day and hope to see you back again tomorrow!

This is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Stampin'Up! Priceless Stamp Set

Today I'm sharing with you a very simple but pretty card I think. I used the Priceless (115052) and Three Little Words (113254) stamp sets; Basic Black and Whisper White card stock; Pawsitively Prints Designer Paper (118060); Designer Buttons (see page 181 of the 2009/10 Idea Book & Catalog) and silver brad (104336). This card could be used for most any occasion.
