BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOURS FOR A HEALTHY & PROSPEROUS
I have one last Christmas idea to share with you today.....a money holder using the HOLIDAY STOCKING Bigz L Die featured in Stampin'Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog. Our kids are at the age that we never know what to buy them so for the past few years we have given them money so they can purchase whatever they want. Below is the money holder I made for our son and SIL using Real Red card stock and Mocha Morning Specialty designer series paper.
Here's the one designed for our daughter using the Silver Glimmer Paper and Real Red card stock. (Note: the ribbon used for the bow is not Stampin'Up!)
In order for the "check" not to fall all the way into the foot of the stocking, I cut a piece of card stock and folded it in the middle (see below).

I folded the check and put it in the folded insert leaving about 1/4" of the insert showing at the top of the stocking so they could remove their money.
The HOLIDAY STOCKING die is on the "carryover list" which means you can still purchase it even though the Holiday Mini Catalog expires January 3rd. For more information, go to my SU website, shirleybmckay.stampinup.net or contact me by email, shirley.mckay@ymail.com.
We all make New Year Resolutions and here's one of mine for this year. In addition to sharing creative ideas with you, I plan to share some words of encouragement with each post I make. Thanks for joining me today and I hope to see you back again soon!
"And now let us welcome the New Year full of things that have never been." - Rainer Maria Rilke
"January, the month of new beginnings and cherished memories, beckons. Come, let winter weave her wondrous spell; cold, crisp, woolen-muffler days, long dark evenings of savory suppers, lively conversations, or solitary joys. Outside the temperature drops as the snow falls softly. All of nature is at peace. We should be, too. Draw hearthside. This is the month to dream, to look forward to the year ahead and the journey within." - Excerpt from SIMPLE ABUNDANCE by Sarah Ban Breathnach
