Stampin'Up! Easter Card

Today I'm sharing with you the Easter card my sister, Sue, sent. I love the detail on this card! Sue used the "spotlighting" technique. If you're interested in knowing how to do this, check out my YouTube video.

I've been looking forward to this day since before Christmas when I learned that Sue is coming to visit. She's not been to TX since we moved. I can't wait to spend some "sister" time. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll stop by again soon! Have a great day......do something good for yourself; stamp daily!

Stampin'Up! Easel Card

As mentioned yesterday, my downline met last night and here's what I shared with the group. It's an easel card made using the Greenhouse Gala designer series paper and Daffodil Delight that are both featured in the new 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog that goes live
tomorrow. Other products used: Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White card stock, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, gold brad (on the flower in the lower lefthand corner) and
the Scallop Trim Border punch.
Please email me if you'd like measurements for this card.
Check back later today for other ideas shared by the rest of the group.

Stampin'Up! Ornament Punch Flower

This is my first attempt using the ornament punch to make a flower. It turned out just OK ~ I think I need more practice.
I put the flower on a purse that I made sometime ago. The purse holds four greeting cards with envelopes. For instructions on the purse or flower, please email me at shirleym@ctc.net.

Please note that the ornament punch is still available for purchase even though it was featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Spotlight Technique

I needed a card for a friend who just learned she's pregnant so I thought I'd get out the retired stamp set "Swell News." I hope to post a tutorial tomorrow along with a supply list. Also, later today, please check my Etsy Shop, by clicking on the button on the sidebar, to purchase this cute card.
Think of all the sets you currently have on hand that you can use the Spotlight Technique with. Flowers and butterflies, using this technique, make really beautiful cards.
